Product Description
In fall of 2006, the Guinness Book of Records confirmed that New Mexico State University Regents Professor Paul Bosland had indeed discovered the worlds hottest chile pepper, Bhut Jolokia. Bhut Jolokia, at 1,001,304 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), is nearly twice as hot as Red Savina, the chile pepper variety it replaces as the worlds hottest. A New Mexico green chile contains about 1,500 SHUs and an average jalapeno measures at about 10,000 SHUs.

I bought these seeds because I love chili so much. I heard about Buht Jolokia a lot and have a dream to plant myself.
I bought from Hirt’s company, but when I read reviews about this company…I felt regret. It sounded bad company.
I received my seeds today, and I’m happy…nice and good packet and came along with information too. I’ll give 5 stars when my seeds germinate… Thanks

The seeds we got from Hirts never germinated. So sad.
The fact that the picture is identical to the photo provided by another supplier is suspicious, as well.
If Hirt is selling us seeds, SURELY they have some of their own photos to show us?

After many months of germination, growing and polinating, these turn out to be just regular old habaneros. Very disappointed.

Fast shipping and the product is awesome. Planted in our backyard and now waiting for it to sprout.

Boy I wish I would have read your review. I did the exact same thing the peppers started to grow and I new they looked way to much like habaneros, sure enough they are habaneros i’m so glad that i spent 4 months waiting for bhut jolokias and I got habaneros that I could have gone 2 blocks down the street and bought them at gaint eagle. Thanks hirts for your crappy product. I’m pissed this sucks I give hirts a big negative 10 and ill be sure to never buy anything from Hirts again and ill be sure to tell my friends and hopefully many people read this and stop before buying anything from hirts. I dont want a refund or a replacement since the replacement would probably be a jalapeno plant. I would like the 4 months of growing that i lost back though… ya thanks again hirts…hahahahahahahahaha I’m so mad!!
